For the past 40 years, I had the good fortune of writing in a wide range of genre, including law, business, memoir and biography, sports, education, fiction, human interest and spirituality. After retiring at the end of 2015 from both the practice of law (as a business litigation and trial attorney) and a high school basketball coach, I became a full-time professional writer. In the three years since, I have finished five books, three published and two set for release in spring 2019. Two are memoir: Play It Forward: From Gymboree to the Yoga Mat and Beyond and My Life: A Story of Resilience and Love. Three are sports-related: Odds-On Basketball Coaching: Making High-Percentage Decisions in Game Situations; The Other Classroom: The Essential Importance of High School Athletics; and The Definitive Handbook for the Beginning High School Basketball Coach. I am currently working on my third legacy work for another client on spirituality and my first work of fiction.
Being an author of original work thrills me. But I am equally excited to work with author clients to give expression to their voice, tell their story and connect in meaningful ways with targeted audiences. Whether in the form of ghostwritten memoir, blogs, articles and other client works or editing original client material, I see storytelling as a art form, the most powerful written medium available. I look forward to hearing about your project and exploring the prospects of an exciting and mutually-rewarding collaboration.
