Lucinda Hawksley – Editor

20+ years in non-fiction book editing. I offer full editorial reports, fact-checking. copy editing and proofreading.

Overview

I began my career as a book editor at Dorling Kindersley, after which I became Managing Editor of The Foundry Creative Media Company. When I went freelance I worked for a variety of clients, including Virgin, Quarto, Merrell, Harper Collins, and Thames and Hudson, and as a copy writer for companies including Rocco Forte and Innocent Drinks. I have also worked as a magazine editor and writer for clients including John Brown Citrus and the BBC, and as a digital editor and content producer for BSkyB, Sky Travel, Channel 5 and the BBC. My areas of expertise include history (especially art history, social history and the history of travelling), literature, the works of Charles Dickens, the 19th and early 20th centuries, natural history (I have a great love of cetaceans) and biography. As I am an author, I truly understand the need for a really reliable editor!
