Overview

I've always been a voracious reader, and I started writing my first novel in high school. When it came time to choose a major, a BA of English with an emphasis in Creative Writing was the obvious choice. While in college I worked in my university's writing center and discovered my love of helping writers.

Since then I've worked as a freelance and contract editor for over 10 years, including on realistic fiction, religious nonfiction, textbooks, PhD dissertations... the list goes on. You'll notice that many of the books listed on my profile are from the Christian segment of the publishing world; this is because of my experience as a contract editor for both a traditional Christian publisher and a Christian vanity publisher. While I still work with Christian authors, I am more attracted to stories with strong universal themes than books that are prescriptive of any one religion's views.

Now, as an Author Accelerator certified book coach, I specialize in fantasy and science fiction, though I will consider working with other genres (such as contemporary fiction, romance, and historical fiction). I do not work with horror.

I can't wait to learn about your story and to partner with you in crafting a better book!
