Lori Goldstein

Lori Goldstein – Editor

Published author of six novels including ROMANTIC FRICTION (Harper Collins, 2025). Query and fiction specialist. Grub Street instructor.

Overview

In 2024, I sold two book club fiction novels at auction. The first, ROMANTIC FRICTION, released in May 2025 from Harper Collins and was an NPR Book of the Day as well as a Zibby Media Summer Read and Most Anticipated selection. My second Harper Collins book, KISS, MARRY, KILL releases April 7, 2026. At the moment, I am more likely to be able to take on smaller projects.

As an author, editor, and creative writing instructor, I have a clear, targeted approach to all my projects. My teaching background allows me to convey craft concepts and techniques to help elevate manuscripts from the big picture to the line edit level.

I am the author of five other novels: the historical LOVE, THEODOSIA (Arcade/S&S, 2021); the contemporary YA fantasy series BECOMING JINN, CIRCLE OF JINN, Macmillan, 2015, 2016); the YA contemporaries SCREEN QUEENS and SOURCES SAY, Penguin Random House, 2019, 2020) . In addition to my writing skills, I have a BA in journalism and have worked as a managing editor, content editor, and copyeditor for more than 20 years. I am currently a creative writing instructor.

I am comfortable editing a wide range of material but am best suited for middle grade, young adult, commercial fiction, women's fiction, and narrative memoir.

I have extensive experience editing query letters and synopses to assist in the agent search.
