Overview
I’m a longtime editor with more than fifteen years of experience working in both independent publishing and at Hachette. I’ve partnered dozens of authors and artists to develop ideas from early concepts into finished books. While most of my work has been primarily on visually driven non-fiction projects in many different areas including art, history, science, sports, photography, travel, lifestyle, pop culture, humor, architecture, film, music, television and more, I’ve also edited narrative and long-form text in those same areas, both with and without imagery.
What I enjoy most is helping people clarify and strengthen what’s already on the page. Sometimes that means refining structure or pacing; other times it’s about tone, language, or creating a more cohesive whole. I always adjust my level of involvement depending on what’s needed, whether that’s a focused polish or a more in-depth editorial process.
I tend to work in a collaborative, low-pressure way. If you come in with a clear brief, I’ll follow it closely; if you’re still figuring things out, I’m happy to help define the scope before we begin. My goal is to support your vision and make the work feel more fully realized—without losing what makes it yours in the first place.
