Lindsey Harnsberger

Lindsey Harnsberger – Editor

I specialize in editing music instructional books. I was Editor-in-Chief with Alfred music editing children's books to autobiographies.

Overview

Some know me as Link or L. C. I studied graphic communications (emphasis in printing) in junior college and then music composition at USC. After a short career working on films and commercials, I excelled as a product manager, editor, video producer, product developer, and team leader at Alfred Music--the world's largest educational music publisher. While there I worked on educational books, trade books, software, audio, and video projects. I also created budgets, contracts, licensing, artist relations, and worked directly with printers/duplicators.

In just the past few years, I've edited and managed the production of hundreds of books, over 50 educational videos, and more than 100 marketing videos. I developed products branded for specific markets including the best-selling "MAX" series of instructional books, and the wildly successful "Kid's" series of children's multimedia products. I was also instrumental in the development of online delivery of media products.

I just finished editing a 25-book series of music instruction for School of Rock.

In my free time, I write and compose. I've published a number of books and scores with Alfred Music, Hal Leonard, and Jubilate Music Group. I recently composed the opera "Golondrina" which had its world premiere in November 2015, and it was performed again in 2017.
