An accredited editor with 20 years’ experience, I can help you achieve your publication goals — however large or small. I specialise in non-fiction, with a particular interest in the humanities and social sciences. In 2022 I completed a Master of History, specialising in Australian and public history. I also have tertiary qualifications in Psychology and Communications. My clients have ranged from large publishers to community kindergartens, and I have worked on a diverse range publications, such as journal articles, textbooks, corporate services tender documents, websites, memoirs and self-help books.
My aim is to enhance the clarity of your publication, enabling you to connect with your readers. When you're happy with the structure of your manuscript, that's where I come in. I love getting into the nitty gritty of sentences, tidying up punctuation and polishing your words so that they shine.

Since 2013 I have operated my own business offering editing and copywriting services. My clients have included multinational educational publishers, such as Wiley Australia and Macmillan Education, as well as small businesses, individuals and community organisations. I have worked on multi-platform educational publications, peer-reviewed journals, digital assets, eBooks, newsletters, corporate services tender documents, websites, fiction, memoir and self-help.
In my business I:
• work with authors and publishers to ensure their publication is ready for readers
• undertake copyediting, structural editing and proofreading
• perform quality assurance checks on eBooks and online learning platforms
• research and write copy.
Wiley Australia
At Wiley I was part of a large in-house editorial team responsible for producing high-quality textbooks and supplementary materials (such as CD-ROMs and workbooks) for the Australian secondary and higher education markets. My role involved primarily copy editing and project management, along with some rewriting and structural editing.
As a project editor I:
• managed multiple projects, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders, such as artists, designers, publishers and freelance editors
• copyedited all aspects of textbooks across a range of subject areas, including Biology, Psychology, Accounting, English, Health and PE, History, Commerce and Business Management.
Australian Academic Press
At Australian Academic Press I copyedited and managed the production of a suite of psychology and social science-focused journals. In this role I also:
• created the organisation’s first comprehensive style manual
• supervised the work of a publishing assistant and sub-editor
• developed an awareness and understanding of copyright in Australia
• edited a variety of titles, from therapy manuals to biographies.
