Overview

I have worked within the book publishing industry for over fifteen years, designing books and book covers for a number of leading UK publishers such as Penguin Random House, HarperCollins and Hodder & Stoughton. I have worked on book projects for authors such as Iris Murdoch, Travis Elborough, Marina Hyde and Patricia Highsmith.

I will always aim to create work that is creative, intelligent and well thought out. The design of any book really does matter and I will focus on adding the maximum design value to any book I am working on. I have typeset, designed and illustrated numerous book interiors over the years, ranging from Poetry anthologies to fully illustrated Children's art books. I love working on the interiors and offer a service where I will make your words sit beautifully on the page.

I also co-run a small poetry press (Donut Press) and have created books for John Hegley, Tim Turnbull and Annie Freud amongst many others.

When I'm not designing I like to make Thai food and read as many books as I can get my hands on!

Liam is fantastic! He was very professional and willing to work in my edits. There were issues on my end of the project that delayed things, but Liam was very patient with me. Was even "Out of the Office" on Reedsy and still got to all my requests with alacrity. 10/10. Will look for him for my next project.

Working with Liam on my book A Garden of Bones has been an absolute delight. He is extremely gifted and punctual. His communication is outstanding - aside from the written brief he likes a phone conversation to really get under the skin of what you want. What really sets him apart though is that he likes to read the book before he gets started, to truly understand it. He came up with six brilli...

Liam grasped my vision quickly and brought a level of passion and precision to my book cover and interior design project that exceeded all expectations. He was responsive and added value at every step, the end result is better than anything I could have hoped for. I am confident that any writer hiring Liam would be very well served!

Working with Liam was fantastic. Not only did he take the time to read my entire manuscript, he was able to present a variety of different artistic options, respond to quite specific little updates and briefs and even change the cover based on last minute requests from my publishing house. He was super quick in his response time and a pleasure to work with from the beginning. I would recomme...

I was so incredibly impressed with the work which Liam provided. We met briefly for a coffee once he had accepted the book. Instantly, I was blown away by the ideas he was bringing to the table. Not only had he read the manuscript, but he was quoting bits back at me which he thought would look great on the front. Through every step of the process Liam presented various options for me review, he...
