Overview
Back in 2001, my father-in-law, who was making the transition from newspaper journalist to book author, asked me to look over his manuscript. What started as "I need another pair of eyes" became a full-fledged editing project. I discovered that I really enjoyed the process, and he and I learned a great deal from one another. Since then I have edited everything from local and regional publications for the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA), to biographies of very interesting Canadians.
I am an avid reader of mysteries (especially cozies), and would love the opportunity to work with authors in that genre. I'm also fond of fantasy novels, and would get a kick out of working with fantasy authors. As a keen gardener and devourer of gardening books, I would be very interested in helping authors in that genre as well. Finally, I have a good deal of personal and professional experience with New Age and occult subjects.

"What can I say about Laura? Words seem inadequate. She worked tirelessly to prepare my manuscripts for publication. I have been a professional wordsmith for my entire adult life, and yet I learned something from her with every collaboration. To put it simply, my books would not have been published without her."
