After graduating from what was then Canada's only publishing program, I began at Harlequin Enterprises as an Assistant Editor. I worked for almost every line the company published—ranging from its sweet romance to its sexiest line to its women's fiction, fantasy, and mystery imprints—and rose in the ranks to become a Senior Editor. More than twenty books I edited were nominated for the RWA's RITAs. In 2008, I joined Penguin Books (Canada) as its first commercial fiction editor. I decided to pursue a second career as a Registered Acupuncturist in 2009 and began to freelance from that point as it allowed me to continue working at the two careers I loved best. Since that time I've edited for publishers and directly with authors.
I am known as a collaborative and Socratic editor, working with authors to develop the stories they want to tell. It is my greatest pleasure to help shape and polish a manuscript.
