Once upon a time, there was a little boy who loved books more than anything else – especially at bedtime, before he went to sleep.

However, every so often, he sensed something was very wrong at story time and would pipe up in a little voice:

"Mummy – I think you missed a word.”

Yep, I was destined to be an editor. My love of words has sustained me my whole life, giving me a degree in English Literature from Cardiff University, a twenty-year career spanning all aspects of written media and publishing (print and online) in multiple continents, and a lifestyle that enables me to balance my passion for words with caring for my two kids.

My first love is and always has been fiction: I love working with fiction authors and publishers, particularly in science fiction, fantasy, speculative fiction, crime fiction and horror. I have edited a wide range of novels for publishers including Titan Books and Angry Robot; I have also proofread and copyedited books associated with franchises including Alien, Predator, Marvel Comics, Firefly, Star Trek and Conan the Barbarian, as well as several movie novelisations.
