I am a freelance copy-editor and proofreader with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for the written word. I edit books for academic publishers in the arts, humanities and social sciences. I also edit fiction, poetry, monographs, biographies, memoirs, education material and teaching resources, e-books and companion website material, magazine and journal articles, business material, company literature and website content.

I have almost ten years' experience working in publishing, having first worked in-house for a pre-press production company, where I was responsible for managing the production of a large number of academic titles and worked closely with publishers, authors and freelancers.

Editing has always been my passion, so I decided to set up as a freelance editor in 2014 and haven't looked back since! I copy-edit a variety of material, including books and journals for academic publishers in the arts, humanities and social sciences, companion website material and online/teaching resources, company literature, website content and magazines. I also enjoy working with independent authors and editing fiction, poetry, biographies, memoirs, monographs and much more.

I have an eagle eye for detail and am meticulous in my work. I understand the importance of retaining the author's voice, yet while also working with all the rigour of a good editor.
