Kelli Chipponeri – Editor

I am the Founder & Creative Director of Green Typewriter Creative. I have more than 20 years editorial experience creating children's books, novelty books, toys, games, and digital content. I have worked at publishing houses big and small, as well as at a children's subscription box company, creating fiction and nonfiction books, activities, and projects for kids of all ages. While I am willing to tackle a YA novel if the subject is right, I prefer to focus on texts for readers under the age of 13.

I typically work with clients where there will be multiple revisions to a manuscript or project, which is my preference as I like to see how a story or text evolves over time. I also find that multiple revisions is the best process for the writer as well. I don't ever "rewrite" a work, but give specific notes via editorial letters and marked-up manuscripts. I love to work on novelty books (non-traditional formats) where the form of the book is part of the storytelling. I can also help to identify marketplace "comps," edit your author bio and agent pitch, and offer advice for growing your writing career.
