My background is in journalism and digital media, so I care about two things above all: that your argument lands, and that your reader actually finishes the book. I've done developmental editing on published Forbes Books titles and spent years as a managing editor, which means I'm as comfortable with the big structural questions (Is this the right order? Is the through-line clear?) as I am with tightening things line by line.
