I have two books released through HarperCollins/HarperTeen, and a forthcoming chapter book series with Abrams/Amulet, as well as several more projects at various stages of drafting/revision/submission.

Prospect Genius

Jan, 2012 — Sep, 2016 (over 4 years)

As an independent contractor with Prospect Genius, I wrote SEO marketing copy for small business websites across a variety of industries.

I write articles for Dance Magazine, Dance Spirit, Dance Teacher, Pointe, and Dance Retailer News on an assignment basis. Articles have included personal profiles of dancers, teachers, and choreographers, company/school profiles, how-to's, step-by-step breakdowns, business strategies, and more.

Self-employed

Jul, 2008 — Aug, 2014 (about 6 years)

I've copyedited both traditionally published and self-published titles. These include: the first edition of American Ballet Theatre's Teacher Training Curriculum, which was published as The Healthy Dancer: ABT Guidelines for Dancer Health, in Fall 2008; a series of short ebooks featuring social media and marketing tips for writers; and Gold Diggers and Deadbeat Dads, a personal finance guide.

Macfadden Performing Arts Media

During my time as an in-house editor, first at Dance Teacher magazine and then at Dance Spirit, I progressed from assistant editor to managing editor of a small staff. Kathryn did an excellent job with the re-writes for my manuscript. She does extensive research to make sure there are no holes in the story. No inaccuracies. She is a great writer. Her descriptions are amazing and she goes above and beyond to make sure that your story has no flaws. I highly recommend her!
