Karl Jones – Editor

As a life long storyteller I enjoy working with authors and other creatives to bring the best narratives to life in a variety of mediums.

Overview

I am an experienced book editor with over twelve years of experience within Big 5 Book Publishing and additional experience consulting authors working in self-publishing platforms and academic presses. I've edited, authored and co-authored more than two hundred book titles in licensed publishing, IP development programs and traditional acquisitions, including NY Times Bestsellers and critically acclaimed award-winning fiction and nonfiction. As a curator and event producer, I have developed narrative engagements in the form of exhibitions and public programs at museums and cultural institutions across the United States for over two decades. I am passionate about fiction and non-fiction narratives.

I edited over one hundred titles in all genres for readers 0 to 17 including picture and board books, middle grade novels and series and young adult fiction and nonfiction. My books earned starred reviews and spots on The NY Times Bestsellers List and I maintain strong relationships with agents and industry executives in NYC and Los Angeles while cultivating talent in the editorially underrepresented American South, The Great Plains and Rocky Mountain regions.
