I've worked as an editor and proofreader for over ten years. I've edited across a range of book genres including cookbooks, sex books, travel guides, Mind Body Spirit books, biographies, and fiction (predominantly YA, Crime, Mystery, Thrillers, Women's fiction, Horror, and Literary Fiction). I have also edited PhDs, academic papers and essays. I used to work for Watkins Publishing and Duncan Baird Publishers (now Nourish) in the UK but I now work freelance. I love helping authors achieve their dream of creating a book and seeing it in print.

I started as a Production Editor overseeing the production process of our titles, proofreading, writing and putting together BLADs etc. Later I became an Editor and I worked on titles for both imprints (MBS books, as well as cookbooks and sex books).
At RCW I learned the ins and outs of a literary agency and I predominantly spent my time reading through the slush pile for fiction.
My responsibilities included proofreading and editing press releases, daily newsletters (that were sent out to over 500,000) and company profiles. I also liaised with clients on a daily basis and drove sales through the site and emails.
