Overview
I am a passionate of the books and lucky because I work doing them. My client list includes worldwide publishing houses like Penguin Random House, Planeta, Oceano, Santillana or McGraw-Hill, as well for government dependences or local independent publishers and authors.
I adapt my skills to solve each project as it needs. I believe every book deserve an unique identity, always considering at first author’s ideas and point of view. It's amazing to work with writers and editors in a one-to-one collaboration process. I imagine book covers as visual prologues and catalysts of love at first sight.
Several years ago, I adopted the principle that graphic design is communication, not art, because our labor justifies itself in other people, since we are translators and witnesses. I have collaborated with great designers and illustrators whom I admire.
I run my book cover design activity beside to poster design in cultural, social and political topics. My posters have been exhibited and belong to international poster collections in Russia, Finland, Poland, France, Bolivia, Mexico and USA. Nowadays I'm studying a degree in Philosophy, and today I aware I ignore everything.

Grupo Editorial Santillana
I was hired to work on covers, layouts and interior design for books. Also developed posters and marketing materials for promotional purposes. I resigned because personal comissions allowed me to rise and found my own studio.
La Máquina del Tiempo
In January 2006 I was recruited to work in La Maquina del Tiempo, a formerly legendary studio based in Mexico City, led by Alejandro Magallanes, a worldwide renowned poster designer, book designer and illustrator. It was a honor for me, and introduced my work to the mexican editorial industry.
Initially I worked on book illustration, after a short time I was developing posters, book covers, brochures, marketing materials, branding, and web design layouts, for clients like commercial enterprises, government dependences and big publishing houses.
This was my first experience as a professional designer with major clients, always under art direction and coaching by Alejandro Magallanes, Andrés M. Ramírez and Leonel Sagahón.
