Jon Gosch

Jon Gosch – Editor

Editor of more than two dozen published or forthcoming books. My specialties are memoirs and novels (literary, historical, mysteries).

Overview

I have edited more than two dozen published or forthcoming books as a freelancer and as the Executive Editor for Latah Books, a small press in Spokane, Washington. My clients have included bestselling authors like Michael Gurian and Rob Phillips and award-winning writers like Tim Connor, Doug Ammons, Terry Trueman, and Charles J. Doane.

Editing projects I'm particularly proud of include Beautiful Wounds (W.W. Norton), The Primal Method (featured on The Art of Manliness Podcast), The Stone Boys (recommended by School Library Journal), One-Block Revolution, and the Luke McCain mystery series (nearly 3,000 positive reviews on Amazon). Forthcoming books I can't wait to see in print include Spy Daughter/Queer Girl, The Deli Diaries, and The Boy Who Fell to Shore.

I have significant experience at every stage of the editing process, from developmental editing to line editing to copy editing to proofreading. I also relish helping authors navigate the often bewildering complexities of what comes next: submission, publication, marketing, promotion, etc.

In addition to my work as an editor and publisher, I am also a national award-winning journalist and the author of two novels: Deep Fire Rise (one of three 2019 Spur Award Finalists for Best Western Contemporary Novel) and If We Get There.

Thank you for considering working with me on your next book.
