JC Pouzols – Designer

Inspired by the Golden Age of illustration, I paint classically with oil paint on canvas or paper. I started out in the role-playing game industry doing interior illustrations, and later started working on book covers.

As an illustrator, my job is to capture the author's vision and translate it into a visual language that can grab people's attention in a bookstore, be it brick-and-mortar or online.

I love the back and forth with the author to find what they want to communicate: from preliminary sketches exploring the possibilities to refined sketches and the final drawing, and then the finished illustration.

Communication with the creator at every step of the process is key, so that together we can find that particular moment that best captures the spirit of the work, and make it resonate with the audience.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you show your vision in the best possible way.
