I've been an editor for more than twenty-five years and have had the pleasure of working on hundreds of short stories, novels, picture books, and non-fiction tracts. I began my career in newspapers and magazines, both as an editor and reporter. After three years in national syndication I turned to the publishing industry. In addition to working with dozens of self-published authors, I've worked with and for Academic Press (an imprint of Elsevier), Sterling Children's Books, Sage Hill Books, and other traditional publishers. I was also the Communications Director overseeing Editorial and Marketing at a nationwide educational publisher before returning to my true love: working as a freelancer with aspiring authors.I thoroughly enjoy working with new authors needing solid editing and guidance. My years as a journalist can help you keep your story crisp and succinct and help you get to your hook earlier. It's also made me a quick editor able to meet your deadlines. I also pride myself on making sure your voice stays in your story.
