I have specialized in humorous illustration for over 17 years. I love working with both publishers and self-publishing authors.

Overview

My work has appeared in award winning picture books, comics, magazines, home decor, and my own print collections.


The enchanting, natural environment of the Pacific Northwest is a huge source of inspiration for my work, finding its way into my mythical creatures, forested backgrounds, and the always necessary mushroom. People are my other favorite sources of inspiration, and the real characters I encounter in everyday life and throughout my travels always find their way into my work as well.


My work is digital, but for children’s books I often use watercolor textures to give it a traditional feel.

I downsized my equipment several years ago, and now mainly work on an iPad with an Apple Pencil. This compact setup has really helped me feel mobile, and I have been able to take my work with me while traveling, going to coffee shops etc…I love the freedom of not being bound to just my home studio.
