I am a communications expert with over 10 years of experience leading strategy, brand creation and content development. I’ve worked with individual leaders and authors whose backgrounds range from local community nonprofits to national philanthropies to international businesses. Leaders come to me with stories, messages, and visions they want to use to inspire and engage others in their work, but they aren’t quite sure how to do so.

My work is to meet each leader and author where they are and help provide a path to get their words on paper (or screen) and ideas into the world. I help leaders clarify their work and ideas, and then discover and sharpen their creative voice. I work with them to define key messages and target audiences, and then identify and articulate brand identify for themselves and their book. Finally, I work to determine the best publishing and post-publishing marketing strategies for their unique goals.

I specialize in writing about topics related to social impact and social innovation--social enterprise, impact investing, nonprofits, community service, systems change, racial equity, and racial justice. I've worked with major publishers like Simon & Schuster (Adams Media), McGraw Hill, Berrett-Koehler, and others.
