Overview
I am an editor and proofreader with over 5 years' experience in publishing. I edit across YA, middle grade and picture books, with a particular interest in magical middle grade and contemporary romance YA.
Beginning my career at an award-winning children's publishing house, I have commissioned, edited and proofread a wide range of books to date, including some that went on to receive award recognition. I have now gone full-time freelance to focus on editing the types of books I love.
I am passionate about engaging, different and thought-provoking stories, and have an excellent awareness of the ever-changing book market. Working with authors to bring their stories to life is my favourite part of my job; I endeavour to make the process as supportive, informed and enjoyable as possible.

I am an established freelancer, providing editorial services across a wide range of books, including children’s and adult, fiction and non-fiction. I work with successful and award-winning publishing houses, as well as small independents.
Sweet Cherry Publishing Ltd
I edited and proofread across a range of books, from YA series to picture books. I oversaw the running of my projects from conception, including commissioning, building and nurturing positive relationships with authors, writing blurbs and sales copy, and liaising with other departments up to print. I regularly evaluated agented and non-agented manuscripts. I also wrote many of the company’s younger children’s books.
