Jane Cornwell – Ghostwriter

Since 1995 I have been in demand as a feature writer and interviewer of A-list celebrities and a whole host of musicians, artists, writers, designers and more. In the UK I am best known as a specialist in world music and jazz, and in this capacity have travelled the world interviewing well-known artists and rising stars. Since 1997 I have worked and continue to work on a freelance basis as a writer and MC for the artist Peter Gabriel's Real World Records, and am a compere for his WOMAD Festivals in the UK and Australia. In my capacity as London-based culture writer for the Weekend Australian (News Ltd) and others including the Sydney Morning Herald (Fairfax) I have interviewed a who's who of notable figures: Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Salman Rushdie, even David Hasselhoff. I have written music biographies, and my own music and travel based memoir for HarperCollins. I recently went back to university and did a mature student Masters in Global Creative and Cultural Industries at SOAS, University of London, with a dissertation on the fresh London jazz scene, and got a Distinction.
