Overview

I am a graphic designer, specialising in book design and have been working in London for the past 8 years. Working as a designer I have learnt how to project manage and art direct, whilst developing new concepts and books in fast paced environments. I have built up a strong network of clients and I have had the opportunity to work across both children’s and adults’ books. From designing book covers to working on large format illustrated titles, and typesetting pages, I thrive on making books come to life with type and image.

Over the last two years I have worked for Ladybird Books and Kings Road Publishing. This has enabled me to design across a wide spectrum of publications, including art, educational, lifestyle, gift and picture books. Colossus, one of my most recent projects, a large format children’s illustrated book, involved working in a small creative team. Our aim was to showcase impressive structures from across the globe in a beautiful and educative way. I enjoyed drawing up briefs, which would then be transformed by the illustrator into beautiful spreads of art and colour. It was important to collaborate with the illustrator to ensure the images were harmonious with the type and information, making each page as enticing and informative as the last.

I am always ready for a new challenge and would love to hear from you.
