Since 2016, I've helped authors develop their novels as well as proofread and copyedit amazing small press and self-published work. Among my clients are bestselling authors Polly Babbington (Pretty Beach series) and Kenya Wright (Lion & Mouse series) and I've supported bestselling authors such as Lauren Blackwood (Within These Wicked Walls), Hannah Whitten (For The Wolf) and Layne Fargo (They Never Learn) early in their "query trenches."

As a freelance copyeditor, I've worked with City Owl Press and Story Merchant Books. While most of my clients are from the USA, I'm delighted to have collaborated with authors all over the world. I work on your schedule, and will factor in any time difference in our communications or project work.

Other roles in publishing have varied from hosting podcasts at the annual WriteOnCon kid lit convention to mentoring aspiring writers during TeenPit.

My style is very supportive: I love a compliment sandwich and I'm a big believer in the Oxford comma! With proofreads, I go over your project twice to ensure there are as little to no errors as humanly possible covering grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Copyediting includes all the proofreading checks, but also exists as a revision of the text to improve its flow and structure to ensure maximum readability, such as suggested changes to sentence structure and highlighting continuity errors.

While my expertise lies in fantasy stories of all kinds, I also work on adult contemporaries, thrillers, and crime novels.
