Booksellers Association
I am now working as Booktime Editor again, as a freelancer, for the Booksellers Association. I compile and write the magazine, which includes interviews and features on new books, working closely with the publishers and with graphic designers. I have recently compiled a new edition of the magazine for Autumn 2020, which has been well received by bookshops and readers. We printed 15,000 copies and they went out in boxes of 50 to more than 250 bookshops, with some shops receiving more than one box.
Bertram Books
I worked at the wholesalers Bertram Books to write and edit the consumer books magazine Booktime, for twelve years. The magazine went out bimonthly in boxes of 50 to around 300 bookshops and libraries, who would then pass it on to their customers. Before this, I was a copywriter on the B2B publication Buyer's Notes, which detailed the new books available each month for the independent bookshops.
