Overview
I’m a proactive self-starter with more than 15 years publishing industry experience and a real passion for what I do.
I worked on illustrated non-fiction for DK for 10 years, writing and editing many bestselling books for them. I specialised in licensed publishing for high-profile licensors including LEGO and Disney. I then moved over to Penguin Random House, into educational publishing, to develop a brand new series of ELT graded readers. Within that role, I acquired the educational rights for books from big-name authors including Jojo Moyes, John le Carre and James Patterson and worked with them to adapt their text for a new audience.
I am now self-employed as a writer, editor and project manager. I love to create and shape text into something accessible and brilliant, and to collaborate with designers to bring a thoughtful and engaging visual aspect to my work. I am also a clear-headed editorial project manager, driving books forward to bring high quality content to print on time. With a deadline and a budget, I’ll do everything in my power to bring a project to life - and I’ll always aim to have fun doing it!
My partner, Guy, is a graphic designer, cartoonist and illustrator who is also available on Reedsy. We can offer design and editorial services together if a project requires it.
