Overview
Hello there! I'm Glynnis and I'm a cover designer and illustrator working out of California, USA. I have been designing book covers since 2012 for UC Press and have been a freelance illustrator and designer for various independent clients since 2015.
As someone with experience in both nonfiction and fictional works, I bring extensive knowledge in creative artwork for all sorts of storytelling and narrative projects. Print production and creative pipelines are things I am very familiar with and you can expect me to communicate with you along the way, as well as guide you through what I do if you are unfamiliar with the commissioning process.
Tell me about your book (the demographic, the plot, the aim), let me know your idea and provide samples of the type of work you'd like your own book to fit into, and you can expect me to provide you with at least three different versions within a set amount of time. I allow for two revisions throughout the process before creating the final piece. Please keep in mind that a larger budget and timeline allows for a more detailed process and result. Quick turnarounds and lower pricing will get your cover done faster, but will limit the full development of a concept. I price at industry standard rates and do not use or work with AI art! We are 100% human in this house.
Whatever your book is about, a beautifully designed cover is just as important as the artwork you choose to put on it! Give your creative child the lovely clothes it deserves! And, I am using too many exclamation marks! Regardless, I would be happy to apply my typographical skills and designer's eye in creating something elegant, classic, or whimsically fantastic that both yourself and your readers will love.
