I am copyeditor and proofreader with over a decade's experience in the industry.

I work regularly for traditional and digital publishers, focusing mainly on fiction and narrative non-fiction titles. I am sensitive to an author’s style, preserving their voice while ensuring that their story is told in the most effective way possible. I am respectful when delivering my edits, including clear explanations of each amendment, query or suggestion I make.

I check facts, timelines, plot coherence, style and character consistency; I verify spellings, including brand names and instances of foreign language; I line edit for sentence structure, punctuation, tense, repetitions and clarity.

I began my editing career working in-house at prizewinning indie publisher Tindal Street Press, where I copyedited the Costa First Novel Award winner, 'Beauty' by Raphael Selbourne. Since then, I have worked as a freelance copyeditor on bestselling titles such as 'The Girl in the Ice' by Robert Bryndza and 'After the Lie' by Kerry Fisher, which have each sold over a million copies.
