Mark Fletcher – Designer

I have been working in illustrated publishing since the late 1980s, having first worked at Phaidon Press as an editor. Since that time I have edited, produced, commissioned and published books with many other leading illustrated book publishers, including Mitchell Beazley, Scala Books, Merrell Publishers, Thames & Hudson and Laurence King. Most recently I was Publisher at Quintessence, a leading co-edition publisher at Quarto, where I was responsible for a $6 million business, creating and selling new titles to leading publishers in the US, UK and Australia.

Clients included HarperCollins, Rizzoli, Allen & Unwin, Octopus, Simon & Schuster, Barron's, Australian Geographic, National Geographic, Monicelli Press, Abrams.

Alongside my freelance work I run a book publisher that I founded in 2004 - 8 Books.
