Ally Findley

Ally Findley – Editor

Experienced copyeditor and proofreader with a background in independent, literary, and academic publishing.

Overview

I am an experienced editor who has managed all aspects of the editorial process, from acquisition to developmental editing, copyediting to proofreading. I have just completed my MFA in Fiction Writing at Washington University in St. Louis. Previously, I worked as an editor at David R. Godine, Publisher, and have also worked extensively as a freelance editor, with clients ranging from large institutions such as Brandeis University Press to authors who wish to self-publish.

Throughout my career, I have worked with literary fiction, poetry, academic monographs, trade nonfiction, and memoir. I am a thorough editor and enthusiastic reader! I believe all subjects and stories hold the potential to fascinate and move their audiences, and helping you find the best way to tell your story and present it to the world is what drives me as an editor.
