Overview

I currently acquire and edit at HarperCollins Publishers where I've worked closely with debut fiction and non-fiction authors at every stage of development.

I think the best editorial relationships are built on strong communication and thus am always happy to kick off our process with a phone call. At every stage, my aim is not only to focus on crafting the strongest prose possible, but also to ask the right questions to allow you to dig deep to create your best work possible.

I believe the role of an editor goes beyond the page, and I'm always happy to work with you to strategize about the publishing marketplace at large and brainstorm about how to make your book stand out amongst the crowd.

At Agate, I built production timelines, led comp analysis for new products, operated the company website, and drafted and executed weekly newsletters. I also headed production on short-run print projects, including soliciting quotes from printers, building P&Ls to determine print quantity, and reviewing proofs. Outside of my main responsibilities, I shadowed all of the departments, working with sales, marketing, publicity, editorial, and design to help support across every facet of the book publication process.
