My work is characterised by its focus on clarity and readability, qualities which turn on the smallest of details: from the font used for page numbers to the letter spacing of small caps.
The books I design employ InDesign styles throughout. This, together with a clear, efficient workflow, means all books designed for print can be (and often are) smoothly converted into beautiful, flexible ebooks.
Since 2011 I have worked with a diverse group of clients, including Melville House, The American Marketing Association, Zuleika, and the literacy charity First Story.
In addition to this typesetting work, I am responsible for the design and typesetting of Structo, a biannual, Stack Award-nominated literary magazine. I also design book covers every now and again. I am a member of the Independent Publishers’ Guild via Structo Press.
Designing and typesetting books for various freelance publishing clients including Melville House and Zuleika, as well as for First Story, a literacy charity serving low-income communities in the UK.
Responsible for the branding and overall design of this biannual, Stack Award-nominated literary magazine.
