Overview
I love being able to say I've been working with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop since I was thirteen. With 15+ years of experience in Adobe applications and 7+ years of publishing experience, I’ve learned the ins and outs of popular interior book design and cover art trends.
I joined the Random House book production team in 2017 and managed schedules and color/paper specifications across a variety of mass market titles, including Jodi Picoult's A Spark of Light and Louis L'Amour's The Man Called Noon (Louis L’Amour’s Lost Treasures).
In 2019 I transitioned to the Penguin Publishing Group to design book interiors. I’ve fallen even more in love with image-text design and the way it works, gorgeously and subliminally, to ensure the reader is immersed in the author’s words. I will always stand behind the belief that interior book design is meant to complement the author’s work, not overshadow it.
Some of my favorite interior book design projects include Grand Union (Zadie Smith), Memorial (Bryan Washington), My First Book (Honor Levy), and The Empusium (Olga Tokarczuk).
While crafting beautiful work is a must, it’s also just as crucial to maintain clear, consistent, (and kind!) communicative relationships with clients. Publishing a book is such an exciting experience — I’m looking forward to geeking out about your book with you!
