Erin Windholz

Erin Windholz – Editor

Collaborative Project Editor with 20 years of experience in reference and early literacy book assessment, development, and copyediting.

Overview

Leading with an ethic of care and collaboration, I have spent nearly 20 years immersed in editorial development, digital publications, and early literacy materials. I am known for wearing many hats, with extensive experience in project management, developmental editing, copyediting, proofreading, image research, accessibility compliance for digital and print formats, and early literacy curriculum development.

Most recently, I spearheaded the development of literacy materials and digital products for preK-6th grade learners, enhancing accessibility through WCAG compliance and video captioning. I developed, edited, and managed art direction for hundreds of phonics readers, determined to produce texts that educated, engaged, and empowered diverse communities of learners. Over the past year, I took my expertise into a new role as author, writing the upper-level decodable title for elementary school students.

I've also continued to expand my experience by condensing a 4-volume reference encyclopedia on indigenous peoples into a single volume essential reference guide. I love any opportunity to keep learning, and to share what I've learned!
