Emily Marquart

Emily Marquart – Editor

I help indie authors publish with confidence. Open to fantasy, romance, and YA fiction. Looking forward to meeting you and your book!

Overview

I am a freelance writer and editor with more than nine years' experience in the industry. After completing a Master of Publishing at the University of Sydney, I honed my editing skills at a top Australian weekly magazine, and went on to write creative and engaging content for a wide range of print and online publications. As an editor, I have helped polish and perfect everything from academic articles to indie romance novels. Don't hesitate to get in touch to see if we'd be a good fit!

"Emily's editing of Vision of Shadows did more than just make it a far better book. I truly believe she helped make me a better writer. She helped tighten the prose, ramp up the tension and sharpen the characters. She was both friendly and professional and I completely trusted her with my story. I simply cannot recommend her enough!" - Vincent Morrone, author of Vision of Shadows

Emily is extremely professional and cares about the project you give her. She was willing to jump into editing book 2 of my series, which I worried about, but I didn't need to be. Emily got up to speed on my series before starting the project, and she responded with the expertise I would've expec...

Emily supported me on my second book, The Guardians, and her feedback just makes me a better writer! She has a wonderful way of explaining strengths and weaknesses, whilst fiercely defending my right as the author. Emily is stuck with me for all future books :-)
