Emily House – Designer

I began my creative journey when I was in primary school - crafting stories, pictures and cards for my family - and friends and I've not looked back since!

From there I progressed to wedding stationery design and worked as a contemporary artist (with a brief stint in television production) before moving into the graphic design and illustration field. I took a seven-year career break to volunteer for an NPO providing design and marketing services as well as working as their creative producer for live events before returning to my first love: writing and drawing picture books for kids.

I've got experience working in both traditional and independent publishing and my self-authored titles have been published in multiple languages and countries. I love the process of taking a book from initial concept, right through to a complete book file ready to send off to the printers - and I relish bringing stories to life.
