A very well-thought-out picture book about being yourself and loving yourself for who you are!
Fiorella and Mama Rose have a happy life until one day their guardian leaves them at an animal shelter. Feeling abandoned and unloved, Fiorella wonders what she has done wrong. She vows to change, believing itโs the only way to be adopted. Once she realizes being her imperfect self is enough, something wonderful happens.
The tender story of I Love You, Fiorella, Flaws and All masterfully explores the feelings of abandonment and unacceptance that children can experience, and shows that love has no terms or conditions.

This is such a sweet, cute, and a fun book to read! Love the positive message this book gives about self esteem, being who you are and owning it!
The book also portrays the issue of abandonment and it can be a really helpful read to children facing any kind of abandonment, rejection or just finding it difficult to fit in. It gives out the clear message that it's not their fault and that no matter what, they do not need to change themselves to be loved or shouldn't change for anyone for that matter. They will be loved for who they are. Nothing is wrong with them or what they think are their flaws!
The book teaches to own all our flaws, in the case of Fiorella - messy drools, playful chews and loud howls and all! Although this is a book for children, this can be a great, fun read for people from all walks of life.
The illustrations were really great, heart-warming, and fun! They depicted the exact emotions on the pup and mum's faces. The illustrations were what added emotions to this book!
Eats books. Prefers fiction over non-fiction. My favourite genres are historical fiction, biographies, coming of age, and psychological realism.

This Mississippi native enjoys a good dose of vitamin sea and spending time with family. When not cheering on her boys at a sporting event, you can find her volunteering or being creative. Occasionally, Cindyโs a nervous co-pilot to her husband, but she is most comfortable reading a good book! view profile
