Having worked in publishing for 10+ years at digital start-ups and Big Five publishing houses, including HarperCollins, Canelo, and Bonnier Books UK, I have extensive knowledge of trade publishing across all genres and all formats. I'm also a traditionally published novelist with Hachette and HarperCollins US so have first-hand knowledge of the author trenches.
I can offer the following marketing services to help with your project. All services include workbooks and video calls.
MARKETING SERVICES:
SET UP:
- Audience / Market research (2-10 campaigns) to help you position your work and learn from other campaigns and indie authors in your audience
- Marketing strategy - budget variable with benchmarks, price recommendations, seasonality, timings and recommended platforms
- Cover research + Asset design - to position your book aesthetically within the market
- Amazon Optimisation - including categories, copy re-writing, keyword metadata and A+ on Amazon to increase organic discoverability
AUTHOR BRANDING:
- Author bio + platforms - set up, branding and copy suggestions
- Author Social strategies for 6-52 weeks+ across your preferred socials (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn + Newsletters - excludes X/Twitter + Goodreads)
- Email Marketing - including auditing, set-up, content creation, 1 to 12 months of campaign ideas, lead generation, automations and more.
- Social Media Audit of 2+ channels (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Websites + Newsletters) with detailed reviews, suggestions for improvements and best practices
CAMPAIGNS:
- General campaign review - of past campaigns and current strategies, including copy review, brainstorming and action plan
- Advertising review and training on developing ad performance (TikTok/Meta/Amazon/LinkedIn/Spotify Ads)
- General Coaching - 45 minutes video calls to discuss any marketing/publicity topic you wish
- Social Media Management (UK authors only)
My services do not include publicity, e.g., outreach to magazines or websites, features/listicles, influencers, or podcast pitching, nor do I work with Goodreads. But I can advise on demand.
PRICING: I do not accept 'Royalties Only' clients. Prices range from £75 to £3000, depending on the elements discussed and the length of service. Payment plans are available. Items can be booked ad hoc or in packages. Packages include further discounts.
My hours are Mondays 10-4 PM (GMT) + Tuesday-Thursday 3-5 PM (GMT). Some additional times are available on certain days per month.

I was the sole marketer on the award-winning marketing campaign for Days at the Morisaki Bookshop and it's sequel More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop. Working with over 1000 influencers, selling over 300,000 combined copies and being nominated for Best Debut Novel at the British Book Award 2024.
The Empire by Michael Ball
Launching a new historical fiction series by the West End legend Michael Ball. Thousands of hardback pre-orders after a limited pre-awareness campaign including brand partnerships, influencer events with Theatre Cafe, huge outdoor advertising and strategic newsletter and advertising strategies. Hitting No. 3 on the Sunday Times bestseller on launch, over 1,000 reader reviews on Amazon, a Top 50 Kindle bestseller and Top 100 Audible bestseller.
Author Coaching (Festivals)
I regularly offer 1-2-1 slots at literary festivals including Women's Prize Live, Primadonna Festival and the Northern Lights Writers Conference offering advice on social media, author brand building, querying, marketing strategies, self-publishing vs traditional publishing and more.
The Serial Killer's Wife by Alice Hunter
An award-winning marketing campaign, leading to 250,000 sales across all formats. With a guerilla marketing budget focused on Meta and Amazon advertising - over 600,000 impressions on launch - and a massive, organic influencer outreach leading to huge awareness and over 1,500 pre-orders in ebook and a Sunday Times bestseller.
Fair Rosaline by Natasha Solomons
An exciting Shakespeare untelling of Romeo and Juliet. A massive influencer campaign included recruiting the 'Fair Fourteen' (14 key champions to the campaign) nine months pre-publication, huge proof runs over six months, increasing social advertising, and an almost daily review of copy and messaging post-publication with 150 reader reviews on launch. A Kindle promotion with supporting BookBub led Fair Rosaline to enter the Top 20 Kindle chart.
