I have many years of experience working in-house as a senior editor, overseeing books from concept to print. My area of expertise is practical art and art history titles and I am educated to post-graduate level in art history.
For practical art books, I enjoy working with artists/authors to create attractive, accessible content that connects with the audience. I can advise on structure as well as bringing clarity to text and ensuring it correctly describes the artistic process. For many years I worked with bestselling practical art author Barrington Barber (author of The Fundamentals of Drawing).
For art history books, I provide a thorough copy-editing or proofreading service, checking elements such as lists of illustrations, image dimensions, image titles, captions and image credits.
