Elizabyth Hiscox

Elizabyth Hiscox – Editor

I am a Ph.D. with a passion for language! Extensive experience copy editing and proofreading in literary prose and poetry.

Overview

As a writer, educator, and editor I understand the importance of an author's vision, connecting with a readership, and a clean copy that allows ideas to take center stage. Having edited literary fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry for anthologies and individual collections, I am comfortable with the detail-oriented differences in each: the stream-of-consciousness approach that still needs to communicate, the free verse poem that is utilizing the field of the page and dropped lines, or the fun of the haibun that combines it all!Currently, I am an editor for Iron Horse Literary Review, Shenandoah, and the chapbook press Tram Editions as well as copy editing individual collections (including one forthcoming from Red Hen Press).
