Elizabeth Sanduvete

Elizabeth Sanduvete – Designer

Professional illustrator crafting conceptual, human-centered visuals with an organic feel for The Guardian, Netflix, Pentagram & more.

Overview

Hi! I’m Elizabeth, a professional illustrator and artist based in Spain, specializing in conceptual illustration for publishing, editorial, and cultural projects. My work focuses on human stories and ideas, using thoughtful, emotionally driven imagery to make complex topics feel engaging, accessible, and memorable. My process combines the warmth of traditional graphite pencil with the flexibility of digital coloring. I deliver high-resolution digital files (300 DPI, CMYK and/or RGB) fully optimized for the print or digital specifications you need.

I’ve collaborated with clients including The Guardian, BBC Science Focus, The Lancet, Netflix, and Pentagram, creating illustrations across subjects such as science, climate change, culture, health, society, and the arts.

When working together, you can expect a collaborative, communicative, and reliable process. I enjoy digging into ideas, finding the emotional core of a story, and translating it into visuals that feel both smart and human. Whether it’s a book cover, feature illustration, or long-form publishing project, I aim to create artwork that not only supports the text, but deepens the reader’s connection to it.

I do not use AI in any part of my process, development or final artwork.

What my clients say:

“Elizabeth is a very talented and highly professional illustrator. She handles every subject very subtly, sophisticated and aesthetically, from sketch to finished illustration. It is a pleasure to work with her and we have the luxury that she makes several good proposals, making it difficult to choose because her proposals are always so on point!” – Michiel De Smet, art director at Knack.

“We love working with Elizabeth, who has illustrated a number of articles for us at Zócalo Public Square over the past few months. Our essays delve into complicated ideas and concepts, and Elizabeth always comes up with insightful and clever ways to tap into our themes through her art. She is also a complete pleasure to work with.” – Eryn Brown, editorial director at Zócalo Public Square.

“As well as being incredibly talented and a conceptual thinker with a fresh style to her work, Elizabeth is a pleasure to work with, polite, prompt, and professional.” – Joe Eden, art editor at BBC Science Focus.
