Elizabeth Broussard

Elizabeth Broussard – Editor

Editorial Assistant at Abrams Books and freelance editor, specializing in books that run the gamut from low to high art and culture.

Overview

Hi there! My name is Elizabeth, and I've been a freelance editor ever since my friends started giving me rough drafts of their papers in high school. While the 5-paragraph essay served me well, I have since moved beyond that and am currently an Editorial Assistant at Abrams Books. As a member of the adult editorial division, I've had the opportunity to work with companies like the New York Times and Condé Nast on a wide array of books for our entertainment, fashion, current events, and photography lists. As an EA, I'm also constantly looking at proposals (i.e. I know what a viable proposal sounds like and what a slush pile proposal sounds like). Have an idea for a book but aren't sure how to pitch it? Let's talk. More than anything, I love helping people explore and refine their story. I will gladly be another set of eyes on your work, while gently guiding you to a final product that effectively and beautifully communicates what you want to say.
