Overview

"Auriane helped me take my writing to the next level. I've never had a more supportive reader of my work who can also pick out just the right ways to make it better. From high-level plot changes like heightening stakes and working through a character's motivations, down to clarifying wording in a query letter, Auriane can do it all and will be your biggest cheerleader while she's at it!" —Kaitlyn Hill, author of LOVE FROM SCRATCH and NOT HERE TO STAY FRIENDS.

I'd love to be your partner throughout the revision process!

Throughout my career as a fiction editor, I have loved working with young adult, middle grade, and picture book writers to help make their projects shine. As an English teacher and published author, I am well-practiced in offering expert feedback that feels actionable, encouraging, and tailored to meet each unique writer’s needs. Whether you're a writing pro looking for fresh feedback or you've just finished your very first draft and aren't sure what to do next, I would love to help you achieve your writing goals.

In my approach to edits, your purpose and vision for the story are key. I hone in on character development, plot structure, writing style, and voice to flesh out your manuscript's strengths. My aim is to not only improve your current draft, but also help you grow as a writer by providing tailored-to-you tips and resources on everything from a deep understanding of plot structure and compelling character arcs to the details of rich word choice and purposeful sentence structure.

I view our work together as a true collaboration that doesn’t have to end when I send you feedback. When it comes to my clients, I'm all in, and I'll answer questions, brainstorm solutions, and cheerlead your progress as you work through revisions. No matter their goals, my clients walk away feeling excited about the revisions ahead, with a clear vision for the next draft.

Finding the right editorial fit for you and your work is a big step! It's always an honor to be trusted with your words, and a responsibility that I take to heart. I can't wait to hear from you and chat about your current project!

Auriane is amazing! She gave me line by line tips about my query letter which was straight to the point and made a lot of sense. As soon as I queried my first agent after Auriane's edit, I was asked for 50 pages of my manuscript (within minutes of querying). I will definitely be back for future help! :)
