Overview

I’m a seasoned NYC-based editor and copyeditor with 20+ years’ experience editing and copyediting cookbooks for both major publishers and independent authors. I offer development editing, line editing, recipe editing, and copyediting to independent authors of cookbooks and memoirs. I work closely with self-publishing authors to help shape, organize, edit, copyedit, or polish their cookbooks without ever treading on the author's authentic voice.

PUBLISHERS: Recent projects for major publishers include chef, nutrition, and celebrity cookbooks for Rizzoli, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Hachette Book Group, America's Test Kitchen, Rodale Books, Little, Brown, and others. I have edited or copyedited books by Jean Anderson, Mario Batali, Martha Rose Shulman, Michael Solomonov, John Besh, Charlie Palmer, Chris Santos, Dale Talde, Seamus Mullen, Max Brenner, Michael Psilakis, Dr. Arthur Agatston, and many other award-winning cookbook authors.

INDIE AUTHORS: My recent independent projects include editing a vegetarian cookbook/memoir by a yoga teacher in Greece, helping a cooking teacher in Hong Kong produce her bilingual cookbook for newlyweds, copyediting Nancy Baggett's "The Art of Cooking with Lavender," and the first book by a Korean cooking teacher in NYC.

I truly enjoy working with independent authors, helping to bring their vision and passion for food to the printed page.

As a freelance cookbook editor for more than 20 years, I have edited or copyedited books for major publishers including Rizzoli, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Hachette Book Group, America's Test Kitchen, Rodale Books, Little, Brown, Simon & Schuster, Oxmoor, and many others.

Projects I worked on in 2016 include copyediting "Zahav" by Michael Solomonov; "The Del Posto Cookbook" by Mark Lardner; "Red Rooster Cookbook" by Marcus Samuelsson; "The Simple Art of Vegetarian Cooking" by Martha Rose Shulman; and "Desserts LaBelle" by Patti LaBelle. I also edited "Sicily: The Cookbook" by Melissa Muller; and edited the recipes for "The Art of Entertaining: Relais & Chateaux."

Projects for independent authors include "The Art of Cooking with Lavender" by Nancy Baggett; "Vegetarian Dishes from My Korean Home" by Kim Shin; "My Vegetarian Life" by Patrick Fullan; and "Sexy's Best" by Brian Patton.
