Daina Lindeman

Daina Lindeman – Editor

I have enjoyed working as an editor, proofreader, and manuscript assessor for over twenty years.

Overview

I have very significant editorial experience and have worked on a wide range of document types, including technical manuals, educational textbooks, fiction and non-fiction titles, business proposals, magazines, and promotional material.

I have edited award-winning books for major publishers such as Allen & Unwin, Magabala Books, and Ventura Press. I also write manuscript assessments, and I feel that one of my strengths is the ability to foster and illuminate an author's intent and unique voice.

I am happy to make suggestions regarding story and character development, and it is always rewarding when an author tells me how my input has dramatically improved their manuscript.

During my ten years as an editor at Boeing Australia, I routinely ensured that complex technical documents and manuals were produced to the highest possible standards and that they achieved accuracy, clarity, and consistency of style. I also performed writing tasks and provided training to writers.

She understood that I wanted a light-touch edit that strengthened the book while preserving its conversational voice, hum...
