Cynthia Knable – Editor

Ceres is a 100% woman-owned, HUB (historically underutilized business) and WBENC-certified reference, assessment, and educational content development company. As CEO, I oversee all aspects of company operations, including sales and marketing, project management, hiring and training, and writing and editing. We have created educational resources for digital and print media for the K-12 and general adult markets for the country's leading publishers.

Anaxos developed both print and online resources in multiple subjects for grades K-12 and for general adult readers; created thousands of high-stakes test items as well as ancillary material; delivered general reference works on a wide variety of topics for both school-age and adult audiences. As president, I was responsible for sales and marketing, project management, hiring and training, and writing and editing. I also served as Series Editor for Simon & Schuster Enriched Classics Series; I worked with literature professors to create extensive supplemental material for 100+ public domain classics.

Wrote several award-winning educational trade books, marketing literature, test preparation books, high-stakes test items and other material for the leading educational publishers in the United States.

Served as the first Editor in Chief for this test preparation and educational publishing company. Expanded the company's list of trade book titles from six to sixty. In addition to expanding the existing test preparation line, I developed new product lines, including guides to undergraduate and graduate programs. I was personally responsible for every stage of development, from concept through editing to final page reviews.
