Overview
I appreciate the chance to work with you to share your research or imagination. As a copyeditor and proofreader, I help to catch any inconsistencies, errors, or missing details before your work is finalized. My prior work experience includes being a production and acquisitions editor at W. W. Norton, Oxford University Press, and Duke University Press. In addition to copyediting and proofreading, I have collaborated with authors on preparing their manuscripts for publication by helping to obtain permissions for song lyrics and images, and applying style tags correctly for manuscript components.
When I copyedit, I take pride in meeting deadlines, preserving your voice, and helping you to ensure your text is clear, concise, and accessible to the widest audience possible. I work mainly with Word and Google Doc files, with tracked changes. For proofreading, I provide marked-up comments in PDFs. I am experienced with both the Chicago Manual of Style and the APA Publication Manual.
